Unit 3 Multiplication of Whole Numbers 

  • Repeated addition is related to the process of multiplication.
  • Use various strategies, including visual representations, of whole-number multiplication situations (one-digit by four-digit and two-digit by two digit). 
  • Solve multi-step word problems, including problems with variables to represent unknown quantities. 
  • Find all factor pairs for given numbers. 
  • Apply the area and perimeter formulas to rectangles.
